technology advice

KM is decidedly not technology, and much knowledge-sharing can be done with little or no technology: face-to-face exchanges, telephone discussions, classroom training. But technology is a force-multiplier, and can make a world of difference (especially when you’re trying to share knowledge across large distance, or across time; or when you’re trying to tap into the “wisdom of crowds” by energizing your internal communities).

We’ve been at the forefront of appling emerging technologies (wikis, IMs, desktop videoconferencing, threaded-discussion, virtual meeting rooms) to KM objectives, and can share with you others’ success-stories (and lessons of woe). As importantly, we understand the vocabulary of the IT professional and the lawyer and the business manager, and can facilitate smooth and effective communication among these groups as you execute your KM strategy.
